How to Join
To join the Libertarian Party in Texas, you must meet one key requirement:
Important: You must not have voted in another political party’s primary or participated in their conventions during the same election cycle.
Texas law does not require party registration by voter file. Instead, you affiliate with the Libertarian Party by:
- Attending your local precinct convention
- Or signing an oath of affiliation, if you did not vote in another party’s primary
This is how you officially become a member of LPTX.
