As a former candidate for Congress and a lifelong advocate for liberty, I support the right of every American to peaceably assemble and speak their mind—especially when they challenge concentrated power.
On June 14, a nationwide protest known as the No Kings demonstration will take place here in Abilene. While I do not endorse every message that may be shared at this event, I affirm the core principle behind it: that no leader is above the people, and that our republic functions best when all voices—left, right, and independent—are heard without fear or suppression.
My commitment to the Constitution is not selective. Whether you support Donald Trump, oppose him, or are simply disillusioned with politics altogether, your freedom of speech and assembly is sacred.
I will attend the event briefly—not to campaign, but to listen and to stand for a timeless truth:
In America, we do not serve kings. We serve one another.
Let’s reject fear. Let’s reject silence. Let’s build a future based on self-ownership, personal responsibility, and mutual respect.
