Volunteer Area Coordinator (Lubbock, Abilene, Andrews, Snyder)

Your Community. Your Leadership. Your Impact.

📍 Location: Lubbock | Abilene | Andrews | Snyder (Choose your region)
⏰ Time Commitment: 5–10 hours/week
👥 Reports to: Volunteer Director

The Opportunity

You know your community better than anyone in Austin or Washington ever will. As an Area Coordinator, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader bringing Bernard Johnson's message of faith, freedom, and compassion directly to your neighbors.

Being an Area Coordinator isn't about knocking doors for a stranger's campaign—it's about activating your own community around principles that matter. You'll build local teams, organize grassroots events, and become the trusted face of the campaign in your area.

What You'll Do

Be the Local Leader

  • Serve as the go-to person for all campaign activity in your region
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, churches, and civic organizations
  • Represent the campaign at local events, meetings, and gatherings

Mobilize Your Neighbors

  • Recruit and train local volunteers who share our values
  • Organize block walks, phone banks, and text banking efforts
  • Schedule volunteer shifts and coordinate community outreach

Execute Strategy Locally

  • Help plan and execute local campaign events
  • Identify key influencers and partnership opportunities in your area
  • Adapt campaign messaging to resonate with local concerns

Stay Connected

  • Provide weekly updates to the campaign headquarters on local progress
  • Share community feedback and insights that shape strategy
  • Collaborate with coordinators in other regions to share best practices

You Bring

Essential:

  • Strong ties to your local community (you know the people, the places, the pulse)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Comfort with public interaction and relationship-building
  • Deep commitment to liberty, personal responsibility, and principled leadership
  • Reliable access to transportation within your region

Ideal:

  • Prior volunteer coordination or community organizing experience
  • Connections with local churches, business groups, or civic organizations
  • Understanding of local issues and concerns
  • Active presence in your community (church member, business owner, longtime resident, etc.)

This Role Is Perfect For

  • Retirees with time, wisdom, and deep community roots
  • Local business owners who understand what your area needs
  • Church leaders who are already connected to mission-driven networks
  • Students eager to gain real-world organizing experience
  • Community activists ready to channel passion into political action
  • Anyone who believes their community deserves better representation

Why This Matters

Washington is broken because representatives have forgotten who they work for. You can change that—one neighborhood, one conversation, one volunteer at a time. Area Coordinators don't just support a campaign; they build the local infrastructure that holds elected officials accountable long after Election Day.

Your community needs a voice. Be that voice.
