Volunteer Director (Campaign Leadership Role)

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Texas-based preferred)
Time Commitment: 10–15 hours/week
Reports to: Campaign Manager

Overview:
As Volunteer Director for Bernard Johnson’s congressional campaign, you’ll be the heartbeat of our grassroots operation. You’ll lead a team of dedicated area coordinators and volunteers to ensure every corner of the district is activated, engaged, and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruit, train, and manage all volunteer staff across the campaign

Supervise Area Coordinators in Lubbock, Abilene, Andrews, Snyder, and beyond

Create and maintain volunteer onboarding systems and training materials

Organize regular team meetings and coordinate weekly volunteer assignments

Track engagement, shift coverage, and campaign activity across regions

Collaborate with the Campaign Manager to prioritize strategic outreach goals

Cultivate a positive, mission-driven volunteer culture


Qualifications:

Proven leadership and organizational skills

Excellent communicator with a collaborative spirit

Comfortable using Google Workspace, Slack, and basic project management tools

Prior experience in campaigns, churches, nonprofits, or event organizing preferred

Committed to liberty, accountability, and Bernard Johnson’s mission
